So I wrote a Star War… again… #FromaCertainPOVStrikesBack

Back in 2017, I had the pleasure of contributing to the Star Wars: A New Hope 40th anniversary anthology, From A Certain Point Of View. That book hit the New York Times bestseller list, and went on to become an international bestseller.

So with 2020 being the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back… we’re doing it all over again!

As StarWars.com says:

Forty years of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, 40 authors retelling its stories? Sounds good to us.

The anthology series From a Certain Point of View is set to return with From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back, celebrating 40 years of Episode V and arriving November 10. Like its predecessor, From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back will feature 40 stories by 40 authors reimagining the classic sequel through the eyes of background characters — heroes, villains, droids and creatures.

The awesome cover is once again by Will Staehle – not only did he do the cover for the first anthology, but he’s also the designer of no fewer than ten of my original novels, which… actually, now I think about it, that’s a) bananas and b) super bizarre that as soon as I get to write Star Wars, he ends up doing the covers too. Huh!

Head over to StarWars.com for the official announcement! The anthology is out November 10, 2010.

But… who are the other 39 authors? And… which scenes and characters are we writing? If you track the hashtag #FromaCertainPOVStrikesBack on Twitter, you might get some clues, but you’ll have to wait until Monday, June 15, for the full reveal.

See you then, and may the Force be with you!
