My Stranger Things<\/em><\/strong> prequel novel, Darkness on the Edge of Town<\/em><\/strong>, drops in just four weeks today (that’s Tuesday May 28th). And… good grief, that came around fast. You can find the cover, blurb, and some pre-order links below.<\/p>\n

But before that, I’ve got a few post-release summer events lined up.<\/p>\n

Firstly, I’m a guest at Edge-Lit in Derby on Saturday, July 13th<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span> This is the 8th iteration, and although I haven’t been for a while, it remains one of my favourite one-day SFF bookish events. The schedule will be going up shortly, but in the meantime you can feast your eyes on the rather spectacular list of guests<\/a><\/strong><\/span> lined up for this year. I’ll be there the whole day, taking part in a panel and – wait for it – running a workshop for… well, anyone interested in the craft of writing or the business of publishing. It’ll be a pretty loose affair, but I figured that having had fifteen novels, two novellas, one novelette, one comic series, and one short story published, I must know… something about something? Maybe. Hey, let’s find out, shall we?<\/p>\n

Edge-Lit 8 starts at 10am and tickets will cost you \u00a330 from Derby Quad.<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As spotted by the SDCC Unofficial Blog back in February<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, I’ll be at San Diego Comic Con this year. The con runs July 18 – 21, and I’ll post my schedule of events closer to the time.<\/p>\n

On the Monday after the con closes (July 22nd), Chuck Wendig and I will be in conversation<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>at the famous Mysterious Galaxy bookstore<\/a>, 5943 Balboa Ave Suite 100 San Diego, CA 92111, at 7pm, to talk about Stranger Things<\/strong><\/em> and Chuck’s<\/a><\/span><\/strong> new book, Wanderers<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/span>, which is out July 2nd. Although the event is free, the signing afterwards is<\/em> ticketed. You can find more info out at the Mysterious Galaxy website.<\/a><\/p>\n

Also, I have read Wanderers<\/em> and it is awesome. Everyone needs to buy this book. I’m serious.<\/p>\n
