I’ve been sitting on this news a while, so I’m very pleased it has finally been announced!<\/p>\n

That secret book I’ve been dropping (far too many) hints about online? It’s the second Stranger Things<\/strong><\/em> novel, and it’s called Darkness on the Edge of Town<\/em><\/strong>, and it’s about Hopper as a homicide detective in New York City, 1977, and it’s out from Del Rey on June 4th, 2019<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

This was a dream project and the book was a joy to write – I’m a huge fan of the show, and Hawkins police chief Jim Hopper is my favourite character. Digging into his past in NYC was a real blast, and I hope readers have as much fun reading about his bizarre 1977 adventure as I did writing it.<\/p>\n
